HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M177fw Driver

HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M177fw Driver:

Having difficulty finding the right HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M177fw Driver to update your printer? You can easily download drivers for your HP printer with the help of Driver Techie.

Start with determining your printer’s exact model number to get the correct driver for it. Then, find your operating system’s type; either 32bit or 64bit.

Printing:

The HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M177fw Driver is a capable and compact color laser multifunction printer (MFP). It’s the lightest-duty option we have tested for the small-office market, weighing just over 13 pounds. It has high-quality text and graphics output, support for mobile printing through cloud apps, and a simple control panel with a touchscreen.

It prints black pages at 17 ppm and color pages at 4 ppm. Its print quality is above average, though it falls below the highest-scoring models in our tests for text and photo output. Its printing costs are high, with a black page costing over 3 cents and a four-color page at nearly 14 cents.

It has a paper capacity of 150 sheets in the input tray and 50 in the output tray. So, it accepts a wide range of media types, including transparencies and index cards. It has a flatbed scanner with an optical resolution of 600 x 1200 pixels.

Scanner:

Unlike some other models that only scan paper, this one also copies and can fax. It has a 150-sheet input tray and a 50-page automatic document feeder, but its low capacity limits how much it can do at once. It can be connected via USB, 10/100 Ethernet, or Wi-Fi.

Print quality is very good, with razor-sharp black text and detailed, vibrant color photos. But its copying speed is slow, especially when using the ADF. And its color scanning quality isn’t quite as good as that of our Editors’ Choice, the faster HP LaserJet Pro 200 M276n.

You can use VueScan with this scanner on Windows, macOS, and Linux. To install it, you must first have the printer’s exact model number (look at its front, top, and back physically) and your operating system type. (More details in our Download section.) Once you know the information, follow our guide to setup VueScan with your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw.

Copying:

A remarkably capable printer for the price, this color laser multifunction offers some of the best overall output quality we’ve seen at its bargain price. Text and graphics look crisp, and photos have little graininess, even when printed on plain paper.

However, it also has the typical compromises for a low-priced color laser: slow performance, limited features, and high toner costs. At 4.2 cents for black and 21.6 cents for four-color pages, you’ll quickly feel the pinch of the starter cartridges that ship with this model.

A step up in price gets you the faster, higher-quality M277dw, which adds duplexing and a 50-sheet automatic document feeder. It’s a better fit for most offices, especially those with heavier print and scan workloads. Those seeking a lower cost can consider the M177fw.

Faxing:

Print, copy, and fax with a single device that’s designed to improve productivity. This printer can keep your printing costs low with black printing speeds of up to 17 pages per minute and color print speeds of up to 4 ppm.

Get help and information when you need it with the HP ePrint app. You can use Apple iOS devices (AirPrint) and newer Android phones and tablets to send print jobs directly to your printer. Or, you can use VueScan to scan your documents and photos and turn them into editable PDF files on a Mac or Windows computer.

You can also configure basic fax settings from the control panel. This includes a ring detection setting, which allows the printer to answer faxes if the distinctive ring is heard first. You can also select which fax settings to display, including the time/date and header. Make sure that your fax settings are correct before sending. You can also use the ePrint Web services option to print to your printer from any internet-connected device, even from outside your home or office.
